5. Cleaning and Maintenance of the Appliance
5.1 General notes for cleaning
and maintenance

• Disconnect the hob from the gas and electricity
supplies before cleaning or servicing to avoid all
associated hazards.
• To avoid burns, do not touch the hob while it is
still hot and do not wet it as this will produce hot
steam. Let it cool down to a safe temperature.
• Moisture penetrating live components can cause
an electric shock or short circuit.
Only use cleaning utensils moistened with a small
amount of liquid to clean the hob surface and nev-
er use high-pressure cleaners or steam cleaners.

• Do not pour cold liquids onto the hot hob or its
components.
The resulting thermal shock may cause damage.
• Food residues and other residues can damage the
surfaces of the appliance over time.
Always keep the hob, its components and accesso-
ries clean at all times.
In particular, always remove sugary or salty, burnt
and melted soiling immediately, if possible, to
prevent it from sticking.
