Cleaning and Maintenance of the Appliance
• To avoid damaging or discolouring the hob surfac-
es, do not use aggressive cleaning agents such as
acids, solvents or benzene, abrasive cleaners or
abrasive, sharp or pointed utensils such as scour-
ing pads, steel wool or glass scrapers for cleaning
(Exception: Hob scraper for models with glass
surface; GK3010E, GK6011E, GK7011E).
This applies especially to the area of the control
elements.
Before use, check the manufacturer's instructions
for your cleaning agents and utensils for appro-
priate suitability and remove cleaning residues
immediately.
5.2 Cleaning the appliance components
To ensure that your appliance retains its appearance and
remains fully functional, take good care of it; always keep all
parts of the appliance clean and remove any dirt as soon as
possible.

If the flame outlet is blocked, unburned gas may col-
lect in the bottom box and fizzle out.
To avoid fire hazard, injury and damage, always keep
the flame paths and outlets free of soiling in particu-
lar.
To clean the various components, proceed as described in
the following.

When you press a control knob, a spark is electrically
generated to each cooking zone.
Do not use the control knobs during cleaning
to avoid hazards from electricity and sparks.
