4.2 Operation and use

To avoid hazards due to flames and heat develop-
ment during operation, observe the following in
particular:
• Heated food can overflow, catch fire or cause
harmful smoke.
Do not leave the hob unattended and keep chil-
dren away.
Be especially careful when heating fats and oils.
• Always keep body parts, clothing and
non-heat-resistant materials, especially flam-
mable materials, at a safe distance from flames
and hot surfaces and protect yourself from burns
caused by touching heated cooking utensils, e.g.
by wearing oven gloves.
Keep children away.
Preparing for cooking
• Before each use, make sure that the burner parts are
correctly assembled (See section "Properties and config-
uration of the appliance"), the pan supports are correctly
placed and their plastic feet are seated stable on the hob.
• Fill your food to be cooked into suitable cookware and
place it on the pot support above the desired burner.
