2.2 Automatic functions
Automatic one-hand ignition
All cooking zones are automatically ignited by an electrically
generated spark when switched on (for operation, see the rele-
vant chapter).
Notes:
• The power supply must be guaranteed for this.
• The ignition system works in a centralised way, so that
when one cooking zone is ignited, a spark is produced
on each of the other cooking zones at the same time
(but on these without a gas supply, so that only the
cooking zone related to the control knob ignites).
Ignition and flame failure safety system
All burners on your hob are equipped with a flame supervision
device. If the flame of a switched-on burner goes out, e.g. due
to a blast of air or the effect of liquid, the gas supply to the burn-
er is automatically shut off by the thermocouple (safety valve).
Dangers due to escaping gas are thus avoided.
By setting the corresponding control knob to the off position,
the cooking zone is ready for operation again. For the detailed
