6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Important notes on problems with the hob
Warning!Dangertolife!
Exhaled gas poses an explosion hazard and is harmful to
health if inhaled.
If you notice a gas odour, stop using the appliance immedi-
ately, do not light a flame, do not smoke, do not touch any
electrical switches, do not pull any electrical plugs and do
not use any telephone sets or other electrical appliances.
Close the gas tap completely and ensure maximum fresh air
supply, e.g. by opening a window.
If you still smell gas, leave the building, contact the local gas
supplier from outside the building and, if applicable, warn all
occupants of the affected building without touching a bell or
similar.
Do not enter the building until it has been authorised by
suitably qualified personnel, check the appliance thoroughly
and exercise appropriate caution.

Do not continue to use the hob if it is damaged!
This can be very dangerous.
Disconnect it from the gas and electricity supply immedi-
ately.
Never carry out repairs or modifications to the appliance
yourself and do not disassemble it!
Repairs and modifications are very dangerous for unquali-
fied persons and can also cause damage!
If the suggested solutions in this chapter do not solve a
problem, contact customer service or a suitably qualified
specialist.
