7.3 Electrical connection of the hob

This appliance may only be installed/connected and
earthed by a certified electrician in accordance with
the applicable regulations and standards in order
to ensure the necessary safety.
The appliance has a grounding-type plug attached
to the power cord.
Connect it to the mains as described in the following.
Important notes on connection to the mains
• Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the local
voltage corresponds to the information on the rating plate.
• The installer must ensure that an easily accessible
omnipolar circuit breaker (fuse) with at least 3 mm contact
spacing is integrated into the appliance's circuit,
which complies with the applicable regulations and en-
sures complete disconnection of the appliance from the
power supply in the event of an emergency.
The earth wire must not be interrupted by the fuse in this
case.
• Connect the plug of the power cord directly to a properly
earthed and easily accessible socket near the appliance.
Do not use an extension cord.
• Also, do not use adapters, multiple sockets, reducers or
branching devices to connect the hob to the mains,
as these may cause overheating and fire.
