• To prevent the worktop material from swelling due to
moisture, seal the cut surfaces with special lacquer,
silicone rubber or casting resin.
• Clean the worktop and its surroundings thoroughly
before using the hob.
Preparing the hob / applying the sealing tape
Apply the supplied sealing tape against the penetration
of liquids or moisture, as follows:
• Remove all loose parts (pot supports, burner caps,
burner crowns) from the hob, carefully turn it over
and support it with wooden slats, polystyrene parts
or similar pushed underneath at the sides so that it
lies flat and stable and no pressure is exerted on the
integrated elements and the appliance cannot be
damaged (see figure 1).
• Attach the sealing tape to the underside of the hob.
in such a way that its outer edge rests against the
outer edge of the hob (see figure 2).
Make sure that the ends lie next to each other without
overlapping.
• Attach the sealing tape evenly and firmly to the hob by
pressing it firmly into place.
