10 Visualization

10.1 Electrode status (visualization)

Function description:
Via inputs and outputs of the welding controller, special, electrode-specific
information can be called up via a visualization unit and electrode maintenance
routines can be triggered.
Electrode selection is made via the "Electrode number (Visu)" inputs.
The following information associated with the electrode selection is output via the
corresponding status outputs (Visu):
• The "Remaining parts" outputs show the residual parts of the respective
electrode.
(Note: For values greater than 255, 255 is output).
• "Tip dress request (Visu)"
• "Prewarning (Visu)"
• "End of stepper (Visu)"
• "Start tip dress request (Visu)"
• "Prewarning stepper dresser blade wear (Visu)"
• "End of stepper dresser blade wear (Visu)"
• "Prewarning gun life (Visu)"
• "End of gun life (Visu)".
As soon as the outputs have been updated by the control, the electrode selection
is mirrored to the "Echo electrode number (Visu)" outputs. The status outputs
always follow the electrode selection.
If the status of this electrode changes when the electrode number is statically
applied (e.g. due to a welding process), the outputs are updated. Nothing
changes at the "Echo electrode number (Visu)" outputs.
By applying an electrode number and the corresponding input, the following
electrode maintenance routines are executed:
By recognizing the respective input signal, the corresponding counters are reset
the status outputs are updated and an echo is output. These routines are
operated exclusively if the change of the respective inputs takes place in the run-
down-free time (before start or after resetting of the update contact) of the control.

10.2 Deviation (visualization)

Function description:
If setpoint and actual values belong to an (error) message, the percentage
deviation of the actual value from the setpoint is output via the "Deviation" outputs
for the time during which the message is present.
For deviations greater than 127%, 127% is output.
The value is output in two's complement.
