Function description

The pneumatic gun balancing is controlled by a P-valve from FESTO.
The following functions are implemented to control the equalizing cylinder.
• Short-term increase of the differential pressure for safe breakaway and
movement to the welded part when starting the equalizing process.
• Short-term pressure reduction for movement to the fixed stop (gentle
touchdown) when equalizing is terminated, or when the pressure setpoint is
switched on when the MGDM is started.
The equalizing cylinder must therefore be connected in such a way that the
smaller equalizing pressure must be set for the movement to the welding part,
and the larger equalizing pressure must be set for the movement to the fixed stop.
The boost or reduction is not activated in the event of pressure changes during
equalization (e.g. during teaching).
The teaching of the equalization is therefore not influenced.
Note: Signal diagrams can be provided after consultation.

• When the compensation pressure changes
in the positive direction (Ptarget > Pactual)
during the transition to the fixed stop, the
following applies: PAbalance = Pactual +
Preduce
• Note:
The parameter is only effective during the
–
transition to the fixed stop.
"Preduce" can also be parameterized
–
negatively. Negative values are calculated
mathematically correctly in the function.
If the compensation cylinder is connected
–
correctly, the transition to the welded part
should always be accompanied by a
positive change in the target
compensation pressure. If, for any reason,
a negative setpoint change occurs, the
increase is subtracted from the setpoint
pressure instead of being added to
achieve the pressure reduction.
