Error/cause
1) Battery connection is missing:
The battery is unconnected, the battery terminals/plug
are/is dirty, or the connection to the battery cables is
interrupted.
2) Wrong pole connection of the battery, programme
error and/or battery fault.
3) The battery charger is not connected to the mains
supply.
If the above mentioned measures do not eliminate the error, or if a cable must be changed, please contact a
dealer near you.
Important!
The battery charger may be opened only by authorised personnel.
Note:
• The warranty is void in case of damages that result from a totally discharged battery!
• When the A200 is not used over extended periods of time it must be charged once a week.
• Only the battery charger provided by Otto Bock may be used for charging.
Note:
During battery charging, the control must be switched off. In this way, the complete charging current
will be fed into the battery.
Note:
Ensure that the vent slots on the charger are not covered.
Use the battery charger only within the indicated temperature range and humidity limits (see section 15
"Technical Data of the Battery Charger").
Make sure that the rubber feet of the battery charger stand on level ground.
When the battery charger is in use, it must be protected from direct sunlight, since this would additionally heat
up the charger.
Avoid dust and dirt from affecting the function of the battery charger.
To clean the charger, use a dry piece of cloth.

9.8 Batteries

The A200 comes factory-equipped with two maintenance-free 28 Ah GEL batteries. The applied gel technology
fulfills the latest provisions regarding safety and environmental tolerance through close construction. For
increased safety and to facilitate handling, the batteries are integrated in separate battery packs. Thanks
to special gel additions, these batteries are particular well-suited for electric drive systems and have been
designed with a high cycle solidity. For exchange or disposal of the batteries (batteries within plastic pack),
please contact your authorised dealer. The batteries are to be replaced as complete units. The housing must
not be opened. Lead batteries are valuable substances. The batteries can be recycled to 100 %. (Figs. 18/19)

2) Please contact your dealer.
3) Check the mains cable and socket.
