SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A microwave can only be used safely if the door
closes properly. Never place objects between the
microwave and the door, and ensure that the door
and the seal are always clean.
Never switch the microwave on if it is empty. This
can damage the microwave.
Remove metal strips from plastic bags and use
microwave-safe dishes.
Always fi rst check on the packaging how the dish
should be prepared in the microwave. In general,
you have to prick a few holes in the packaging
of liquids or dishes in air-tight packaging before
warming up. This is because pressure builds up
during the heating.
Liquids and other dishes must not be warmed up
in air-tight packaging, because the products can
explode.
Keep an eye on the microwave when warming up
dishes in plastic or paper packaging, because they
could catch fi re.
Never warm up products longer than necessary,
and take into account that the dish continues to
cook after the heat source has been switched off .
Prick the skin of meat, poultry or fi sh with a fork
or other pointed object. That way you will avoid
splashes.
You should clean the microwave regularly and
remove all leftover food. Crumbs and remaining
moisture absorb microwaves and increase
preparation time. Leftover food can also damage
the interior, which can result in dangerous
situations.
