IV. Maintenance and Storage
• Keep all nuts,boltsand screwstighttobe surethe equip-
ment is in safe workingcondition.
• Never store the equipmentwith petrol in the tank inside
a buildingwhere fumes may reach an open flame or
spark.
• Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclo-
sure.
• To reducethefire hazard, keepthe engine,silencer,bat-
tery compartmentand petrolstoragearea free of grass,
leaves,or excessivegrease.
• Check the grass catcher frequentlyfor wear or dete-
rioration.
• Replaceworn or damaged partsfor safety.
if the fuel tank has to be drained, this shouldbe done
outdoors.
• Onmulti-bladed machines, t akecareas rotating oneblade
cancause other bladesto rotate.
Whenmachineis tobe parked,storedor leftunattended,
lowerthecutting means unlessa positive mechanical l ock
is used.
WARNING: Always disconnect spark plug wire and
place wire where It cannot contact spark plug In
order to prevent accidental starting when setting
up, transporting, adjusting or making repairs.
