7.8 Maintenance

7.8.1 Maintenance of the lifting column

Basically, the lifting column does not require maintenance, but it is not exempt from wear. If
there is excessive wear or you fail to exchange worn-out product components, the safety of the
product may no longer be guaranteed.
Work with the lifting column may only take place in accordance with these instructions. The
device may only be opened by authorized specialist personnel. If there is a fault with the column,
we recommend that you contact the manufacturer or send it for repair.
When working on the electrics or the electrical elements, they must be first disconnected from
the supply to prevent any risk of injury.
Unauthorized conversions of or changes to the lifting column are not permitted for safety
reasons.
Safety-related equipment must be checked on a regular basis, however, at least once a year
for completeness and function.
The technical safety inspection (TSI) of the lifting column must be carried out according to
EN 62353. The technical safety inspection must be carried out every twelve months at the latest.
The technical safety inspection may only be carried out by authorized specialist personnel.

7.8.2 Maintenance of the hand switch

Hand switch does not require any maintenance. All work on the hand switches may only be
carried out in accordance with these instructions. The actions described in the assembly
instructions are to be observed. If there is a fault with the unit, we recommend that you contact
the manufacturer or send the unit for repair.

7.9 Cleaning

You can clean the hand switch and the outer surfaces of the lifting column with a clean, lint-free
cloth.
Solvent-based cleaners will corrode the material and can damage it.

7.10 Disposal and return

The lifting column must either be disposed of according to the applicable directives and
guidelines, or returned to the manufacturer.
The lifting column contains electronic components, cables, metals, plastics, etc., and must be
disposed of in compliance with the applicable environmental regulations of the respective
country. In Germany, disposal is governed by the Elektro-G (RoHS) [Electrical Code], and in the
European region by EU Directive 2012/19/EC or the relevant national legislation.
