7.4 Servicing/maintenance/cleaning
Before starting any work on the linear unit, any electrical drives used are to be pro-
tected against accidental switching on.
All linear units are provided in the factory with the required
lubricant quantities. Servicing intervals are dependent on the
hours run, the stressing and environmental factors.
Lubrication is directly via the grease nipple. Before lubrica-
ting, clean grease and oil from the lubrication point. Ensure
you align the grease gun axially with the flow direction of
the nipple.
7.4.1 Cleaning
The cover (3) must be opened for cleaning and to remove
any dirt present. After cleaning, the cover must be reclosed
tightly.
If a toothed belt change should be necessary, removing the
cover simplifies the threading in of the belt.
