4.1 Intended use
The lifting column should only be used for adjusting table heights and other adjustment tasks of
a comparable type.
Catalogue information, the contents of these assembly instructions and/or conditions determined
in the order are to be taken into account.
The values given in these assembly instructions are maximum values and must not be exceeded.
Any use beyond this is termed as non-intended. In event of improper use of this lifting column,
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH is no longer liable and its general operating licence will expire.
4.1.1 Reasonably foreseeable misuse

Overloading the appliance by exceeding the weight or duty cycle
•
Use outdoors
•
Use in an environment with high air humidity > dewpoint
•
Use in rooms with a potentially explosive atmosphere as defined in the ATEX directive
•
Use in rooms with combustible substances (Class AP and Class APG)
•
Use where there is a risk of direct contact with foodstuffs, pharmaceutical or cosmetic
products.
•
Opening the appliance
•
Use on an insufficiently firm base
•
Use with damaged feed lines or housing
•
Possible failure of limit switches is not prevented by the construction.
•
The lifting column is not sufficiently secured against falling due to forces acting laterally.
4.2 Who may use and operate this lifting column
Individuals who have read and understood the assembly instructions completely can use, install
and operate this lifting column. The responsibilities for handling this lifting column must be
clearly determined and observed.
