Radio components which can be taught-in
(EEP)
Radio components must support the EEP pro-
tocol. The radio components can be combined
with the EEP specified below.
Type
DS 56 RC radio switch, 4-chan-
nel wall-mounted transmitter
Humidity/temperature sensor*
CO2/temperature sensor
If within range, up to 8 radio sensors can be
used with radio-controlled systems.
Teaching-in tips
• Teach-in mode is deactivated each time a radio
component is saved, meaning that it has to be
called up again for each further component.
• If nothing is received within 120 seconds, the
teaching-in process is ended.
• Teach-in telegrams from non-supported units
are ignored.
15.9 230 V input: Additional
functions
When connecting the 230 V input (switching con-
tact) of the RLS 45 K, one of the following addi-
tional functions can be selected:
• Time-limited intensive ventilation (intermittent
ventilation)
• Time-limited switch-off (sleep function)

• External safety function OFF

• Supply air mode for exhaust air fans, run-on
time 0, 6 or 15 minutes
The function must also be activated in the service
menu or with the commissioning software.
When the additional functions are switched on,
the symbol flashes on the control unit.
Ventilation units on other RLS 45 K continue to
run with the previous operating mode and ventila-
tion level.
Exception: With the External OFF safety func-
tion, all ventilation units in the ventilation system
switch off. When the External OFF safety function
is triggered, the symbol display flashes slowly.
The RLS 45 K enables communication between
exhaust air fans (ECA 100 ipro, ER 60) and the
PushPull units. When an exhaust air fan starts up,
the PushPull units switch to supply air mode to
compensate for the negative pressure produced.
15.9.1 Time-limited switch-off (sleep mode)

• Operating time can be set with the commission-
ing software: Setting range 15 to 120 minutes.
• Additional wiring of the 230 V input with a
switch/button is possible.
15.9.2 Time-limited intensive ventilation
(intermittent ventilation)
Operation with ventilation level 5, operating
time of 30 minutes.
• Operating time can be set with the commission-
ing software: Setting range 5 to 90 minutes.
• Additional wiring at the 230 V input with a
switch/button is possible.
15.9.3 External safety function OFF
If the External OFF safety shutdown is triggered,
all ventilation units in the system switch off.
15.9.4 Supply air mode for exhaust air fans
with run-on time
Run-on time 0, 6 or 15 minutes
The RLS 45 K controls the RV 2 ventilation units
and exhaust air fans connected to the 230 V input
(ECA 100 ipro, ER 60).
If the switch-on of an exhaust air fan is detected,
all PushPull ventilation units connected to the re-
spective RLS 45 K (RV 2, PP 45 and PPB 30)
switch to supply air mode. A volumetric flow com-
pensation takes place to compensate for the res-
ulting negative pressure.
Function can be activated in heat recovery
and cross-ventilation mode. To start, press
the button for 2 seconds, the symbol dis-
play flashes slowly. Once this time has
elapsed, the ventilation unit switches back
to the previously used ventilation level. To
cancel, press a key.
