11 System information
• Several ventilation units can be connected to
each PP 45 LT or RLS 45 K slave. The per-
missible number of units depends on the power
consumption of the unit components and must
be calculated, see chapter Mixed system with
ER + 4 RV 2 (unmixed) [} 59]
• The power units and slave controls are activ-
ated in the service menu of the RLS 45 K or
with the commissioning software.
• The 230 V input of the RLS 45 K control unit
has a switching contact for the following addi-
tional functions (activation in the service menu):
● Sleep mode
● Intermittent ventilation
● Safety function (external OFF)
● Supply air mode with run-on time 0 min.
● Supply air mode with run-on time 6 min.
● Supply air mode with run-on time 15 min.
• A ModBus connection in combination with RV
2/CPP 60 ventilation units is not possible. The
ModBus can only be used with single-variety
PP 45 systems. For this purpose, the ModBus
interface can be reconfigured and the RS 485
bus can no longer be used.
11.3 Air volume flows with an uneven
number of RV 2 units
The air volume [m³/h] available per ventila-
tion level is divided between the number of
odd and even ventilation units as follows.
G1 = Ventilation group 1:
Odd number of ventilation units (#1, #3, #5, #7)
G2 = Ventilation group 2:
Even number of ventilation units (#2, #4, #6)

11.4 Maximum number of ventilation
units
For possible combinations of RV 2, CPP 60,
PPB 30 and PP 45 ventilation units, see Over-
view diagram [} 58] in chapter 10.1. It should also
be noted that a maximum of 8 RV 2 units, 8 CPP
60 units and 3 PPB 30 K units are permitted per
master control unit.
Example: 10 RV 2 are not permitted, not even in
combination with a PP 45 LT power unit (RS 485
bus is already fully occupied with the maximum
number of RV 2) → chapter Automatic search,
Status CMD: Start automatic search [} 94].
ATTENTION: The permissible number of ventila-
tion units in the system must be calculated based
on the performance data of the components. This
depends on the power consumption of the indi-
vidual components and the PP 45 LT power units
and RLS 45 K control units used.
