15 MOUNTING, CONNECTIONS
• The sensors are addressed using the rotary
switch.
• Sensor-controlled automatic operation only for
ventilation units that are connected to the same
control as the sensors.
• Observe the cable lengths of the connection
cables. Avoid imbalances.
Connecting sensors
1. Set the sensor number using the rotary switch
on the sensor housing:
• Position 0 = sensor 1
• Position 1 = sensor 2
• Position 2 = sensor 3
2. Switch off the mains fuse and secure it against
being switched on again.
3. Wire the enclosed 4-pin connector plug of the
sensor to the RS 485 bus, see connector
sticker or connection and wiring diagrams.
4. Insert the connector plug into the sensor.
5. Insert the sensor into the flush-mounted box
and screw down to flush-mounted box with 4
screws. Carry out the installation in a deep
flush-mounted box.
Do not carry out commissioning until all vent-
ilation units and system components have
been completely installed.
6. Switch the mains fuse on. The ventilation units
start up.
7. In the service menu of the RLS 45 K control
unit, select the Sensors [} 77] setting para-
meter and enable the number of sensors. Al-
ternatively, use the commissioning software.
8. Carry out a function test and check the sensor
function.

15.8 Radio operation with EnOcean
wireless components
The PP 45 EO EnOcean module (EnOcean ex-
tension module) can only be taught in with the
commissioning software.
The teach-in mode is switched on with the soft-
ware and a radio telegram is sent. All radio
sensors/radio switches are taught-in directly on
the PP 45 EO. Only the EnOcean module is
taught-in on the master RLS 45 K.
The teach-in procedure is described in detail
in chapter EnOcean wireless menu [} 88].
Teaching-in DS 45 RC radio switch
1. Switch off the mains fuse and secure it against
being switched on again.
2. Glue the DS 45 RC to the wall at the installa-
tion location. Alternatively, the radio switch
can also be screwed onto the wall (mounting
material provided by customer).
3. Connect the EnOcean extension module PP
45 EO to the RS 485 bus of the RLS 45 K
control unit (RS 485 bus terminals), see con-
nection and wiring diagrams in the appendix. If
possible, wire in a separate junction box.
4. Connect the RLS 45 K room air control to the
PC/notebook (USB).
5. Switch the mains fuse on.
6. Using the commissioning software at spe-
cialist installer level, call up the EnOcean wire-
less menu [} 88], activate EnOcean wire-
less and teach in the radio switch as de-
scribed.
Teaching-in radio sensor
1. To install the radio sensor, see its installation
instructions.
2. Use the commissioning software to call up
the EnOcean wireless menu [} 88] chapter,
activate EnOcean wireless and teach in the
radio sensor as described.
