15.1 Safety

Observe the applicable regulations for electrical
installations, e.g. DIN EN 50110-1 and DIN EN
60204-1, in Germany in particular VDE 0100 with
the corresponding parts. The electrical connection
is only permitted by qualified electricians.
DANGER due to electric shock, fire or
short circuit.
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering.
Before taking off covers and before installing the
electrics, shut down all supply circuits, switch off
mains fuse, check that no voltage is present, se-
cure against being accidentally switched back on
and position a visible warning sign.
WARNING
Danger of falling when working at heights.
Serious injuries in the event of a fall. Danger
to persons below the ladder from falling ob-
jects.
When working at heights, use suitable ladders/
climbing aids and ensure that they are stable.
Work in pairs and ensure that you are standing
securely and cannot lose your balance and that
there is no one under the work area. Protect
yourself against falling. Protect the ladder against
bumping, knocking over and tipping.

15.2 Connection advice

• Only make the electrical connection in accord-
ance with the RV 2 connection and wiring dia-
grams [} 154] in the appendix.
• Only use permitted connection cables.
• For the mains connection and the 230 V input:
Type NYM-J 5G1, 5 mm².
• Recommended control cable from ventilation
unit to star point/distributor (max. 25 m):
Type LiYY 4x0.5 mm².
• Recommended control cable RLS 45 K to
star point/distributor (max. 4 m): Type J-
Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 mm².
• Install the RLS 45 K control unit in a deep flush-
mounted box. Always use a deep or double
flush-mounted box for wiring several accessory
components.
• Strip the connection cables sufficiently.
• The ventilation units, controls and sensors are
supplied with a connector plug. Wire this to
the control line according to the plug sticker.
