9.8 Installing a heat shield underneath the hob
When installing the hob above a drawer, furniture compartment
or similar, observe the following precaution according to the
installation regulations:
• Install a protective plate made of heat-resistant material
(e.g. perforated sheet metal to ensure ventilation)
below the hob (except in the area of the exhaust air pipe
of the extractor fan).
To do this, observe the minimum dimensions given in the following
illustration.
• When using adhesive, ensure a temperature resistance of 150°C.
• Make sure that the space between the hob and the protective plate
is sufficiently ventilated!

Risk of injury and damage!
To avoid serious injury or damage from heat,
electricity or functional elements (such as fans),
make sure that the connection cable
and the underside of the hob are no longer
accessible after installation (also e.g. through
cupboard doors, drawers, etc.)!
