To keep your appliance looking good and fully functional, take good care of it.
Always keep the hob and cooking utensils clean and, if possible,
always remove dirt immediately, as described below.
7.1 Cleaning the cooking surface
Everyday soiling of the glass surface
(e.g.fingerprints,non-sugarstains)
• If the hob is still in operation, switch it of
and wait until all residual heat displays have turned off.
• Apply some commercial glass ceramic cleaner to the glass
while it is still lukewarm (not hot!).
• Clean the glass with a soft cloth.
• Thoroughly rinse the cooking surface with clean water
and remove all cleaning residues.
• Dry the cooking surface with a clean textile or paper towel.
Boiled over, melted, burnt-on food and stains containing sugar or salt
on the glass surface
• Switch off the hob and start cleaning as soon as possible, especially when
removing sugary food residues, while the hob is still heated.
Protect yourself from burns by wearing oven gloves, for example!
• Use a hob scraper for glass ceramics or a spatula,
hold it at an angle of approx. 30° to the hob
and scrape the soiling onto a cool part of the hob.
Note: If a crust has already hardened, crush it carefully beforehand.
  CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Note that the blades of hob scrapers are extremely sharp
and can cause injuries!
Exercise appropriate caution when using them
and keep them out of the reach of children and pets!
• Remove the dirt with a dishcloth or paper towel.
• Clean, rinse and dry the glass as described under "Everyday soiling...".
