9. Mounting and Installation
9.1 Important notes and installation requirements
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock, injury and risk of damage!!
This appliance may only be installed, connected, earthed
and commissioned by appropriately qualified personnel
in accordance with the applicable regulations
and standards!
This is very dangerous for unqualified persons!
Keep children and pets away!!

Some parts of the unit can be sharp-edged!
Protect yourself accordingly when handling
the appliance, e.g. with work gloves!
• For installation, all applicable regulations, including the instruc-
tions, dimensions and spacing regulations in this manual,
must be observed and complied with.
• Make sure that the worktop intended for installation of the hob
meets all the necessary requirements, that adequate ventilation
can be ensured by the installation, as described in the following
sections, and that nothing protrudes into the cooking area.
Requirements regarding electrical safety
• Before installing the appliance, make sure that the domestic
wiring system is suitable for the power drawn by the hob,
in particular that the local voltage and frequency correspond to
the information on the rating plate (information in V and in Hz).
If you are unsure, contact your electricity supplier or a qualified
electrician.
• A circuit breaker (fuse) providing full disconnection from the
mains power supply must be integrated into the permanent
wiring and comply with local regulations (See "Connecting the
hob to the mains").
• The appliance must be properly earthed before installation.
