3.2 Possible operating noises of the hob
During and after operation of the induction hob, noises other than
the control panel beeps may occur, which are normal and do not
signify a product defect:
Swooshing:
Operation of the cooling fan
(also after switching off)
Note:
Fan operation is necessary for fault-free operation.
Do not disconnect the appliance from the power
supply while the fan is running.
To avoid functional restrictions, ensure an appropriate
ambient temperature and good ventilation.
Clicking:
Electrical switching operation
Humming:
Induction noise during operation
at high power level
(The noise level decreases or disappears
when a lower power level is set)
Cracking:
Heating sound of cookware consisting of different
layers of metal.
3.3 Functionality and operating modes of the extractor fan
The integrated extractor fan draws off fumes and odours
produced during cooking and creates fresh room air.
Particles grease and dirt, fumes and, to a certain extent, moisture
are absorbed by the metal grease filter; however, additional ventilation
may be necessary, especially in recirculation mode.
CAUTION!
Health risks and risk of damage!
Moisture remaining in living spaces can lead to harmful
mould growth and damage to surfaces!
Ensure sufficient ventilation during or after cooking
and do not rely only on the suction power of the extractor fan!
For odour control in recirculation mode, the supplied active charcoal filter
is also installed (see relevant sections in the installation and cleaning
instructions).
