Open flames and strong heat can set fire to the extractor fan
or fat accumulations in the filter!
Do not use open flames (e.g. for flambéing) on the hob
and make sure that heated cooking accessories do not
come into contact with the extractor grille!
In the event of a fire, cut off the power supply
and carefully smother the flames with a lid, fire blanket
or similar!
Never extinguish burning oil or fat with water!
6.1 Energy-efficient use of the hob
Your appliance complies with the latest standards
and its energy consumption has already been optimised
to a large extent technically.
In order to keep energy consumption as low as possible during use
additionally, please observe the following instructions for ener-
gy-saving use:
• Always choose cookware whose size best suits the quantity
of food to be cooked.
• To make the best use of the heating power, use a cooking zone
that matches the size of your cookware as closely as possible
or choose cookware that matches the size of the cooking zone
you want to use.
Make sure that the cookware is centred on the cooking zone.
• Make sure the base of the cookware is level, as uneven bases
increase energy consumption.
• Place the cookware on the cooking zone
before switching on the hob.
• If possible, cover your cookware with a suitable, tight-fitting
lid, ideally made of glass, so that you do not have to lift it when
looking into it.
Heat escaping when cooking without a lid consumes considera-
bly more energy.
