3. Cable connections
• Connecting the RS-232C cable
Connect the RS-232C cable to the RS-232C board of the LT100 whose unit number was
set to "1" in step 1 above.
Note
Do not connect the RS-232C cable to any LT100 with a unit number other than "1", as this
will cause malfunction.
• Connecting the link cable
Use a link cable (LZ61) to connect the LINK OUT connector to the LINK IN connector of
another LT100. Do not connect anything to the LINK IN connector of the host LT100
which unit number is set to "1". If the link cable is not long enough, use the optional CE08
extension cable to extend the length.
Note
Do not connect the LINK IN and LINK OUT connectors reversely, as the link function will
not operate.

• Connecting the EXT.IN cable
When using link connections, the EXT.IN cable can only be connected to the host LT100
which unit number is set to "1". EXT.IN functions will not work properly if the cable is
connected to other LT100s.
