Test instructions
All parts must be assembled as described in the installation
instructions to assure the functional reliability, durability and
smooth operation of the sectional garage door. If the sectional
garage door still does not function properly, please check the
following points:
( 33 ) Are the side angular frames, frame panel and horizontal
tracks exactly aligned horizontally, vertically and diagonally,
and securely fastened?
( 34 ) Are all screw connections tight?
( 35 ) Have the transitions between the vertical tracks in the an-
gular frame and the 89° arcs been adjusted (see section
8)?
( 36 ) Check the spring tension: open the door halfway. The door
must hold in this position without help.
( 37 ) If the door sinks noticeably, increase the spring tension as
described in section 24.
( 38 ) If the door rises noticeably, lower the spring tension as de-
scribed in section 24.
( 39 ) Are the spring pins inserted in the lower spring mounts and
in the tightening strap?
( 40 ) Rollers: can all the rollers be easily turned by hand when
the door is closed (see sections 18+29)?
( 41 ) Has the upper roller been correctly adjusted (see section
31a,b)?
( 42 ) When the door is open, do all roller axes extend the same
distance out of their holders?  Diagonal testing
( 43 ) Are the double cables positioned exactly in their guides,
and not twisted?
( 44 ) Doors with operators: has the locking mechanism been
dismantled?
( 45 ) For NovoPort: Check the clearance opposite the operator
between the door leaf and the guide. Bend the contact sur-
face.
Dismantling instructions for sectional garage
doors
iso20-4 / iso45-4 with vertical tension spring
- Dismantling by qualified installers only -
Please read these instructions carefully prior to disassem-
bly.
The following tools are required for disassembly:
SW 7, 10 and 13 open-end or socket wrench, reversible ratchet
with extension and SW 7, 10 and 13 spanners, Phillips screw-
driver size 2, T30 screwdriver bit, at least 2 screw clamps, pos-
sibly a hammer.
( 46 ) Removing the tension springs
Caution: Wear suitable personal protective equipment
when removing the tension springs and secure the door
leaf against falling down!
Move the door leaf to its end position and secure against its
falling down. Remove the single cables from the lower cable
link on the left and right sides.
( 47 ) Close the door slowly and carefully.
( 48 ) Beginning with the top section, dismantle each section in
the reverse sequence to installation.
( 49 ) Continue dismantling the door in reverse order as de-
scribed in the installation instructions.
