V BELTS TENSION ADJUSTMENT AND CHECK
You can open belt transmission casing only when the drill press is disconnected from the power
supply. After every change of V belts setting, close and bolt belt transmission casing.

Unscrew fixing bolt and lift belt transmission casing (
●
Check the V belts position on belt pulleys is correct.
●
Check tension of the V belts (V belt tension is correct when it moves by approximately 10 mm after
pressing it in the middle of the distance between the wheels) (fig. B).
●
If the V belt is too loose, loosen bolts for locking tension of V belt (
backwards.
●
Set appropriate tension of the V belts and tighten bolts for locking tension of V belts.

DRILL PRESS INSTALLATION ON A WORKSHOP BENCH
Drill press should be firmly fixed to a workbench or a stand with the use of four fixing holes (21) designed
for such purpose and located in the drill press base (2) (fixing bolts are not included). It will assure safe
operation of the tool. Fixing holes (21) allow to use screws or bolts 10 mm in diameter. When the drill press
is to be installed on a metal work bench it is recommended to put a wooden pad under the drill press base
(2). Fixing bolts should go through the wooden pad. Use of wood allows to reduce vibrations.
When assembling the drill press, ensure that:

the surface under the drill press is flat and clean,
●
fixing bolts are tightened equally without excessive force,
●
tighten fixing bolts so the base is not stressed or deformed,
●
in case of over-stress there is danger of cracking the base.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Before connecting the drill press to a power supply always check that power supply voltage matches
rated voltage shown on the rating plate that is fixed on the drill press.
Microswitch located under belt transmission casing cuts off power supply for the drill press motor,
whenever the casing is opened. When the belt transmission casing is opened it is impossible to
switch on the drill press.
Microswitch is an additional protection of the user against potential body injury caused by moving
parts of the drill press belt transmission.

In emergency close the switch lid. It will automatically switch off the drill press. Reversing contactors
switch off when voltage in control current circuit drops down. Even when the voltage is restored, the
drill press will not start automatically due to safety issues. Use the switch to switch it on.
WORK TABLE ADJUSTMENT AND SETTINGS
Work table (3) is fixed to the column clamping ring (14) with a bolt. When the bolt is loosened you can
change work table position in horizontal axis in the range from 0
Position the work table (3) to provide appropriate distance between upper edge of the processed object
and drill blade. When drilling long pieces of metal you can enlarge surface of the work table by sliding
movable parts for work table extension (20) (after bolts with butterfly heads (a) located on the bottom side
of the work table are loosened) (fig. A).
After bolt with handwheel of the block of column clamping wheel (13) is loosened, you can rotate work
table (3) on the column if you need to process a high object. In this case fix the processed object to the
base (2) directly.
