Securing the torch neck holder
Testing the Weld-
ing Torch

Removing the gas nozzle and contact tip
Screw an appropriate centering sleeve into the torch neck
Place the torch neck in the torch neck holder (1)
Secure the torch neck using a union nut
Insert the testing unit dowel pin (2) into the centering sleeve (3) by pressing on the
spring
Secure the torch neck holder by tigh-

tening the rest of the clamps in a diago-
nal pattern

The torch neck is okay if:
- The dowel pin glides fully into the
centering sleeve with ease
- The dowel pin glides out of the
centering sleeve with ease after
the spring is released due to the
spring force
If the dowel pin does not glide into or
out of the centering sleeve easily, the
torch neck must be adjusted as per the
"Robacta alignment kit" Operating Ins-
tructions.
For dimensional deviations > 5 mm
(0.197 inch), you should no longer set
up the torch neck on your own. In this
case, please send the torch neck to
Fronius for repairs
If applicable, test all other torch necks
