10. Milk circuit anomalies
ANOMALY DESCRIPTION
The machine does not dispense the bever-
age requested
The gear pump does not trigger the fluid
stream
Low dose in cup
Low temperature in cup
Temperature in cup excessive compared to
the set value
Division of the dose not equal
Poor quality in cup
Escape of steam from the delivery spout at
start of dispensing
POSSIBLE CAUSES
a) boiler temperature setting not reached (1st heating)
b) no milk
c) milk suction line not immersed or pinched
d) milk suction line clogged
e) incorrect "trigger" parameter setting
f) gear pump failed or disconnected
g) solenoid valve Ed failed or disconnected
h) excessive opening of air regulators
i) accidental leakage of air from the tubes upstream of the milk pump
a) excessive opening of air regulators
b) solenoid valve Elf3 failed or disconnected
c) incorrect "trigger" parameter setting
a) milk circuit tube partially clogged
b) incorrect "trigger" parameter setting
a) over-heated air in the boiler
b) gear pump m.p.m.s. setting incorrect
c) suctioned milk temperature close to 0°C
a) suctioned milk temperature >3-5°C
