Installation -
Electrical connection
The electrical connection work should be performed by a skilled person in accordance with local regulations. Please
also follow the BrainCube control Installation | Operation instructions. Shut down the ComCube before starting work.
Requirements
Pull out mains plug (1.2) and, for ComCube DCD, switch off any external voltages on outputs OP1-OP9.
Mains power requirements:
• Connection voltage
• Connected load
• Electrical protection provided by customer : 10 A, FI protection switch, follow the regulations applicable at the location
• If installed in residential buildings, we recommend fitting a commercially available mains filter in the junction box.
Do not connect ComCube to the heating emergency off switch!
Mains power supply through mains plug (1.2)
• Pull out the mains plug (1.2) and unscrew.
• Connect PE, N, L to the corresponding terminals and screw the mains plug back together.
• Connect the mains plug (1.2) only at the initial start-up.
After cabling is complete
When cabling is complete, close off all unused screw connections on the housing back panel with suitable plugs,
in order to ensure Protection Class IP 54.
ComCube DCA - Connections
Example connections are shown in the enclosed wiring diagram (4).
Analogue outputs
To connect and operate the integrated isolating amplifier, please read the accompanying
operating instructions.
For the building management system, PIS pressure and LIS content can be made available
in the form of galvanically isolated 4 – 20 mA signals through the ComCube DCA. The
existing PIS BrainCube and LIS BrainCube cable connections must be removed and rewired
to the ComCube DCA. The total length of the PIS/LIS BrainCube and/or PIS/LIS ComCube
DCA cable connections should be no more than 4 m. A twisted pair shielded cable should
be used (for example, Belden Type 9501). With the DCA TI, the above cabling is no longer
required
(:
Transfero TI Installation | Operation).
Note for connections to Building Management Systems.
The isolating amplifiers used in ComCube DCA are active. The meter output is live and has it's own power supply. This
needs to be taken into account when selecting the analogue input groups of the BMS. The simplest way to receive signals
is to use passive analogue input groups (shunt). Alternatively this can also be achieved with active analogue input groups
(2 wire technology). Both options are shown in the wiring diagram (4).
Attention! A mix up can result in equipment being damaged.
