8.3.1 Troubleshooting a cable-tie malfunction

Be sure to check the information on the display, à „Display
messages" on page 22.
If the cable ties are pulled in at an angle:
f Switch the power pack CPK OFF.

f Push trigger for bandoleer cutter
f Press gate release button
f Open gate

f Press release button for front cover
f Open the front cover.
f Open the rear cover.
f Turn drum
past the point of indexing resistance and

remove the cable-tie residues.
f Close the front and rear covers.
f Switch the power pack CPK ON.
f Press the Reset button.

f Close the gate.
f Load new cable ties, à „Loading cable ties" on
page 12.
f Close the two covers.

8.3.2 Changing back-up battery

DANGER
A hazardous electrical current flows though the body
in direct or indirect contact with electrically live parts.
Electric shock, burns or death can result.
2 f Always have work on the electrical supply and on parts
that are live when the device is in operation carried out

by a person duly authorised to work on low-voltage
electrical equipment.
f Use only OEM fuses of the speciied amperage.
f Have faulty electrical components replaced immediately.
f Always disconnect the plug from the power-supply outlet
before starting maintenance work and troubleshooting.
f Check the electrical equipment of the device at regular
intervals. Have defects such as loose connections or
scorched wiring repaired immediately.
f Switch the power pack CPK OFF.
f Disconnect the power cord from the power-supply outlet.

f Remove four housing screws
f Remove housing
f Change back-up battery
f Reit the housing and secure it by tightening four
housing screws
