8.3 Possible malfunctions

MALFUNCTION
Loops form
Binding not possible. Cable tie
shoots straight out.
Cable tie is not cut off lush.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Tension drive is blocked or
faulty.
Speciied binding force is not
achieved.
Back-up battery in the power
pack CPK for the clock is dead.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Bundle diameter is
unsuitable.
Tie advancer is not in the
correct position.
Spring in top jaw is faulty.
Bottom jaw is blocked.
Top jaw is blocked.
Cutter in end cap is not in
correct position.
SOLUTION
f Push the trigger for the bandoleer cutter to the left.
f Open the gate.
f If applicable, carefully remove the cable-tie residues.
f Press the Reset button.
Error, gate appears as the next message on the display.
f Close the gate.
f Check the binding.
f If applicable, reset the binding force, à „Force level" on
page 14.
f Check settings, à „Check of binding" on page 15.
f Press the trigger.
f Change the back-up battery, à „Changing back-up
battery" on page 25.
f Press the Reset button.
SOLUTION
f Use a suitable bundle diameter, à „Positioning and
binding items for bundling" on page 12.
f Check the position of the tie advancer, à „Checking tie
advancer" on page 28.
f Check pressure pad in top jaw with spring,
à „Maintenance jobs" on page 27.
f Check bottom jaw.
f Remove blockage.
f Check top jaw.
f Remove blockage.
f Check position of cutter in end cap, à „Check end cap"
on page 27
