Cleaning and care of equipment
The equipment should be kept clean and
dusted in accordance with normal hygienic
practices, especially if it is used in a fitness
center or by more than one person.
The control panel should be cleaned as
follows:
-
turn off the equipment, setting the switch
at 0;
-
unplug the equipment from the wall
socket;
-
clean the display with a damp (not
soaking) cloth.
Clean the entire equipment weekly:
-
with the equipment turned off, clean the
external parts with a damp sponge;
-
move the equipment to vacuum the spot
on which it stands.
If the chest band needs washing, use a
water-and-soap solution, then let it dry for a
few hours in a warm, dry place, far from direct
sources of heat.
To sterilize the chest band, use a disinfectant
for surgical tools, available in drugstores.
To clean the heart sensor use a disinfectant
for the sanitization and antiseptic storage of
surgical instruments, available from
chemists; do not use chemical products or
solvents.
