For the SMART, there are special wheel rim center adap-
ters(1 987 009 A20N).
i
For vehicles with four hub holes (e.g. for BMW and
Mercedes) there is an adapter disk instead (1 987 009
A05N), on which the required four pins are fastened and
which is screwed on in the middle of the clamp holder.
i
The rim-center adapters for Porsche vehicles which are
available in set 1 987 009 A06N also work in a similar
manner. This set contains both long and short adapters.

Installing the sensors

Remove one sensor from the support on the base device. To do
so, loosen the lock a little and press the locking lever to the left.
The head can then be pulled out of its support on the trolley.
Select the correct place on the car in such a way that firstly, the
red direction arrow points indicates the driving direction of the car
and secondly, the longer arm of the sensor is on the front wheel
pointing to the front or on the rear wheel pointing to the back.
At this point, mount the sensor onto the pin of the installed adapter
till it audibly clicks into place. Turn the lock tight. Repeat this
procedure on all the wheels.

Connecting the WA 900 or WA 920 / 020 with drained
NC batteries
Use the red data cables to connect the control panel (connection
on each side) with the front sensor, and the front sensors with the
rear sensors.
If you have electronic turntables (special accessories that make
it possible to determine the maximum steering deflection angle),
their cables should be inserted in the correct socket of the front
sensor.

Switch on the machine

Power on the entire machine on the red-and-yellow main switch
on the right-hand side. If the system has been left powered on for
the charging of the batteries of wireless sensors with the PC shut
down, then please turn off the main switch, wait for 10 seconds
and then power on again.
The PC now starts up automatically.
If the PC does not start up, you must start it with its start
switch.
While the program is initializing itself, switch on the wireless
sensors on the front of the sensors (only WA 920 / 020).
The cable-bound sensors of the WA 900 switch themselves on
automatically. The yellow LED at the bottom left which marks the
'1' on the operating mode selection lights up. Only when the PC
program has been completely loaded does the electronic water
level also start functioning.

Operating panel
Level all four sensors exactly, so that the two green LED´s light up.
For this, it is particularly helpful to have the lock on the sensor
tightened lightly.
When first using the machine, it is advisable to keep making small
changes to the position of the sensor and to hold it still for a
second, so that the time behavior of the measurement electronics
can be assessed.
