Model Setup

Before assembling the model, please read each individual section carefully. The construction stages are
illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
For design and colour of your model, use the illustration, e.g. on the packaging for reference. Design and
colour deviations in these operating instructions are possible. Accessories such as motor, servos, remote
control, etc. are not part of the scope of delivery and serve only illustrative purposes in these operating
instructions.
The wooden parts of the model were laser-cut to fit. This produces heat and the wood turns dark. Dark or
burnt areas in the wooden parts therefore do not suggest contaminated or inferior or even rotting wood, but
instead reflect the precise laser-cut.
Only carry out the steps described in the different sections once you have completely understood the pro-
cedure and know exactly what to observe.

a) Assembling the Wing

Joint the two wing centre parts (1) and check if
they can be glued without a gap.
For this, a wing connector (2) with integrated
V-shape must be plugged in as well.
Inaccuracies must be smoothed with a medi-
um-coarse sanding paper.
The wind connector (2) comprises of a wooden
part and a metal rod. Both parts must be glued
together flush with a little superglue.
Then joint the outer wings (3) to the respective
wing centres and check if they can be glued
without a gap.
Again, inaccuracies must be smoothed with a
medium-coarse sanding paper.
When all wing parts fit perfectly, all wing parts
can be glued together.
First glue the two outer wings (3) to the respective matching wing centres (1) with 5-minute epoxy resin. For this, brush
some 5-minute epoxy resin thinly onto the wing centre part. Until complete curing of the adhesive, the seam must be
secured with a few strips of adhesive tape on the top and bottom. Excess adhesive must be removed at once with a
moistened cloth.
Then glue the two wing haves together with 5-minute epoxy resin. For this, let some 5-minute epoxy resin run into the
guides for the wing connector (2).
