h) Installing the Motor and Folding Propeller
Install the motor (1) to the motor mounting plate
(2) with suitable screws
Depending on the build and size of the motor
used, a cutter knife may need to be used to
remove a little material from the inside of the
fuselage.
Install the propeller tappet (3) on the motor shaft
and fasten it with attachment material from the
scope of delivery of the folding propeller.
Now connect the flight controller (4) to the servo
plug at the receiver output of the speed control
of your remote control.
Switch on the transmitter and move the motor
speed control lever to the neutral position.
Now install the propeller tappet but not the propeller yet.
Hold the model for the test. We recommend requesting the help of a second person so that your hands are
free for connection of the flight controller and operation of the transmitter.
Now connect the flight battery to the flight controller.
Carefully apply throttle and check the rotational direction of the motor. The rotational direction is correct if the engine
turns counter-clockwise when viewed from the front of the drive.
If the rotational direction is incorrect, disconnect the flight battery from the flight controller. Then swap two of the three
connection cables between motor and flight controller. The correct connection should be marked in colour. Connect
the flight battery to the flight controller again and check the rotating direction again.
After the test, disconnect the flight battery from the flight controller and then switch the transmitter off again.
Then install the folding propeller to the tappet again and fasten it with the screws. During assembly of the folding
propeller, ensure that the label of the propeller size points forward to the fuselage tip.
