void the warranty.
Cleaning
Despite the self-cleaning ability of the rotating
disc, the view through it may be impaired over
time due to oil/cooling lubricant residue or hard
water deposits. Clean the disc at regular inter-
vals using a damp cloth. To do so, draw the cloth
carefully and slowly from the inside to the outside
using a finger while the motor is running. Repeat
the procedure until the visibility is optimal. If it is
particularly dirty, you can clean the window with
glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
Include the cleaning of the spinning window in
the maintenance plan of your machine. We rec-
ommend weekly cleaning, or more frequently
depending on the environmental conditions.
Please note that when the machine is
switched on, the Rotoclear S3 must also be in
operation and the disc must be rotating. Only then
can the window clean itself constantly. For a clear
view, it is essential that no medium, including mist-
like cooling lubricants, can make contact with a
stationary window and dirty it. In particular, tiny
amounts of cooling lubricant swirled up in the air
may become encrusted on the disc and cause it
to become dirty.
Changing the rotor
The rotor may need to be removed for cleaning or
replacementifitbecomesexcessivelydirty,ifitis
damaged, or if it is broken due to being hit by bro-
ken tool or workpiece parts.
Turnofftheentireunitandremovethescrewinthe
middle after it has coasted to a standstill. Levering
out the rotor using an object inserted into the gap
will easily cause damage. This will void the sys-
tem's warranty.
If the rotor is damaged, wear suitable cut-re-
sistant gloves. We recommend keeping a replace-
ment disc on hand and installing/cleaning it in
alternation. This ensures a clear view of what is
going on and hence optimal manufacturing con-
ditions at all times.
The rotor is a wear part. If the window is dirty or
damaged due to chips or other parts, this does not
constitute grounds for a claim. If the rotating disc
isimpactedbyapartthathasbeenflungoff,the
rotor will need to be replaced immediately. Never
operate the unit without a rotor installed. If the
machine is to be operated in the interim, the unit
is to be securely protected against the ingress of
and damage due to chips, particles, oils, cooling
lubricants and/or other media, and completely
shut down. Otherwise, the Rotoclear S3 may be
damaged and become unusable. This will void the
warranty.
