Preparing the parts
Remove the rotor and the stator from the
packaging. Both components are packed sepa-
rately. When unpacking, pay attention to cleanli-
ness. Store all parts on a clean, soft surface or in
the original packaging. Handle the product with
care.
The unit must be protected from any shocks,
as they may damage the bearing unit, the rotor or
other parts.
Loosen the cover on the connection box and
loosen the screws of the strain relief.
Remove the M16 screw plug. Put all parts back in
the packaging or onto a clean and non-metallic
surface.
The Rotoclear S3 can also be mounted with the
machinery glass installed. The alignment of the
connection box can be freely selected between
0-360°.Alignmentsof0,90,180or270°arerec-
ommended.
The unit is mounted on the inner side of the
machineryglassthatisexposedtomedia.
Make sure that the tightening torques are
observed! Exceeding the torque values can
destroypartsoftheRotoclear S3.Ifthetightening
torque falls below this value, the sealing ring may
notprovidethedesiredsealingeffect.
