OPERATING MANUAL
Operation and maintenance
During operation of the machine, Rotoclear
S3 must also be in operation and continuously
supplied with compressed air.
Rotor
The rotating disc contains exclusively rota-
tionally symmetrical elements. As a result, it may
not be readily apparent that the disc is rotating.
Do not touch the rotating disc while it is rotating.
Risk of minor injuries.
The rotor disc may splinter upon impact or when
encountering external forces. As a result of this,
fragmentsoftheglassdiscmaybeflungoutwards
radially and cause injuries.
When performing tasks in the direct vicinity
oftheRotoclear S3whichmayresultindamageto
the disc, keep a safe distance and wear protective
goggles.
The motor must not be permanently blocked
by mechanical means (e.g. by dirt) and must be
able to rotate freely, otherwise the rotor drive may
be damaged (loss of warranty).
To ensure safe and damage-free operation,
also observe the safety and warranty instructions
in the sections on mounting and commissioning
when operating the system.
There is a permanent magnet in the rotor.

Beware of the magnetic forces if you have an
active medical implant. Keep a minimum distance
of 20 mm between the implant and the rotor.
When the system is in nominal operation, there
is a possibility that active medical implants in the
immediate vicinity may be affected. The mea-
suredvaluesofthemagneticfluxdensityinnom-
inal operation are listed in the table below. Con-
tact the manufacturer of the medical implant to
determine the minimum distance to be observed
in each case.

The machine safety window can bulge out-
wards when struck by flying parts. Fastening ele-
mentsoftheRotoclearS3maybecomelooseand
cause injuries. During operation, maintain the dis-
tancetothemachineryglassasspecifiedbythe
machine tool manufacturer.
In the event of an overload, the motor
switches off and accelerates back to operating
speed after a short time.
Do not point the coolant jet directly at the unit, but
at the cutting edge of the tool.
Do not operate your machine with Rotoclear
S3withouttherotorattached.
