Commissioning
This rotating window is only to be put into
operation when the machine in question complies
with the provisions of Directive 2006/42/EC
(Machinery Directive) after the installation.
Commissioning is only to be performed by
qualified specialist personnel. During commis-
sioning, components that are starting up or rotat-
ing pose a hazard. Avoid any contact during oper-
ation.
Wear protective equipment, including safety
glasses.
After switching on or applying voltage, the
rotor accelerates up to a speed of approx. 2300
revolutions per minute. There must be a back
pressureof2-5mbarintheconnectionbox.Only
when rotating and supplied with sealing air is the
systemimpervioustoliquidsandflingingawaythe
incomingcoolinglubricant,thereby guaranteeing
a clear view of the process.
Do not touch the rotating disc while it is rotat-
ing. Risk of minor injuries.
Normal operation
In normal operation, the spinning window is typi-
cally mounted in the interior of the machine or in
anenvironmentexposedtomedia.
The unit is connected to the main switch of the
machine and is therefore in constant operation.
The rotor of the unit is mounted and rotates at
approx. 2300 revolutions per minute. It is sealed
offfromtheenvironmentbythesupplyofsealing
air.Theunitiscapableofgeneratingsufficientair
flowitselfifapassivesealingairsupplyisused.
