Changing the machinery glass
If you need to replace the machinery glass at a
later date due to the replacement interval elaps-
ing, order the new window without the 282 mm
cut-out.YoucaninstalltheRotoclear S3onanew
windowasdescribedforthestandardversion– i.e.
without the adapter flange. We recommend pro-
viding a compressed air supply (see chapter Seal-
ing air supply).
Mounting the replacement
kit for third-party devices
Rotoclear S3canreplacespinningwindowsmade
by some third-party manufacturers (e.g. Visiport
and compatible products or substitutes) using
the replacement kit for third-party devices. This
is particularly useful for servicing purposes or in
caseswherearetrofittingtaskneedstobekeptas
simple as possible.
This installation variant is a special version. It
is only intended to be used to replace third-party
devices on existing machinery glass and protec-
tive screens until the machinery glass has to be
replaced in line with the manufacturer's standard
replacement interval. In standard cases, such as
after replacing a machine's protective screen, a
standard adhesive or screw-mounted Roto-
clear S3shouldbeinstalled..
Check the machinery glass for damage
before conducting any conversion work. Replace
the pane if the glass is starting to crack, if cracks
are already present, or if the polycarbonate win-
dow's service life has expired and it must be
removed from service for safety reasons. The
same naturally also applies to any other safe-
ty-critical damage, regardless of any retrofitted
components. Please also read the machine manu-
facturer's instructions.
