Pump metering too little
Metering pump does not work
No suction by pump
Pump head is leaking, medium comes
out through the diaphragm rupture drain
11.2.2
EMP III, E00, E10
Fault description
Metering pump not working; green LED does not light
up.
Pump not sucking in despite venting and max. stroke. Sediment, sticking of valves,
Metering head is leaking, medium escapes through
the diaphragm rupture drain.
Metering pump not working, even though the switch
in ON.
After the cause of the fault has been eliminated, the mains must be switched
off or the switch switched to "0" in order to acknowledge the fault message.
Operational malfunctions and troubleshooting
Cause
Back-pressure too high
Valve on pressure side closed
Motor overheated/defective
Suction line leaky
Back-pressure too high
Mains cable damaged
Wrong voltage
Sediment, sticking of valves
Cross section of suction or pressure
lines too large. (especially for 20 l/h
version)
Pump head is loose
Diaphragm torn
Cause
Incorrect mains voltage.
drying out of valves
Metering head is loose.
Tear in diaphragm.
Suction/pressure valve
leaking.
Metering quantity setting too
low.
Metering valve blocked.
Metering back pressure too
high.

Remedy
Reduce pressure
Open valve on pressure side
Allow motor to cool or replace pump
Check suction line
Check back-pressure
Change mains cable
Secure actuation
Flush out pump head via suction
line; if necessary, remove valves and
clean/replace them
Use smaller hose sizes. (e.g. 6/12
mm with the 20 l/h version)
Diagonally tighten the pump head
fastening screws
Replace pump
Remedy
Check mains voltage.
Flush out the metering head
using the suction tube; if
necessary, also remove the
valves and clean or replace
them.
Tighten the metering head
fastening screws crosswise.
Replace diaphragm.
Clean valve.
Increase stroke quantity
adjustment.
Clean and flush the valve.
Check metering line.
