4 Functional description
The 'ELADOS Pump Rack' is a pre-assembled, modular system designed for the
exclusive use of Ecolab chemicals for professional cleaning of textiles in commercial
laundries.
The advantage of the 'ELADOS Pump Rack' is that the pre-assembled standard unit
can be set up on a factory pre-tested mount that covers many applications, thus offering
substantial savings in terms of set-up time.
The modular design also offers maximum flexibility in terms of accommodating future
washing processes. The already pre-mounted upgrade assemblies can be integrated into
the system, taking only a few moments. The 'ELADOS Pump Rack' can thus easily be
customised to meet virtually any requirement in a laundry. This is particularly worthy of
note in terms of investment protection.
The system can dispense up to nine different products to different machines.
Thanks in part to:
n separate metering lines to the machine,
n rinsing operations,
n overpressure devices,
n product monitoring elements,
n consistent separation of product and signal lines,
n an integrated collecting tray,
the separation of alkaline and acidic products,
n
n and a transparent splash guard device
the highest possible safety standard is achieved.
For special cases, where an individual configuration that differs from the standard
configuration is essential, an unconfigured "ELADOS Pump Rack 9 Basic" or "ELADOS
Pump Rack Basic 5" can be ordered. Although these basic versions are equipped with a
terminal boxes, manifolds, inlet flow meters, rinsing valves, cable ducts, splashguards and
all assembly holes, they do not include pumping equipment.

Schematic diagram

The following process schematic provides an overview of all usable components and their
intended installation locations on the rack.
Its purpose is to demonstrate an exemplary layout using optional upgrade kits.
The schematic diagram also lists optionally available components that are not
included in the standard scope of supply.
The drawing shown in
on page 34 that then follows also illustrates an exemplary setup that does not
match the diagram in terms of the upgraded components.
