Functional description
4.3.3 Containers 4, 5, 6
The metering components at these positions ( Fig. 4 , items 25, 26, 27) are not pre-
assembled and can be freely configured.
You can use both acidic and alkaline products.
The following metering pumps are available:
n EMP III 25 l/h mit FPM equipment
n EMP III 54 l/h mit EPDM or FPM equipment
n EMP III 80 l/h with EPDM or FPM equipment
n EMP III 120 l/h with FPM equipment
n TurboPump 50 l/h with EPDM or FPM equipment
The pumps can be connected on the pressure side to one or two manifolds (alkaline or
acidic) or alternatively be connected to a separate flushing system as per container 1. A
3-way valve, flowmeter and pressure relief valve can also be used.
In addition, there is the option, when using an 80 or 120 l/h pump, to install a pulsation
damper ( Fig. 4 , item 12) to reduce any pressure pulsation. The suction lances can be
connected to the pumps by means of Tygon hoses of dimension 9.5 / 15.9 or optionally
15.9 / 22.3 (in the case of high-viscosity media).
4.3.4 Container 7
The metering line for container 7 is factory-prepared for the use of TurboOxysan. The
metering pump fitted here is an EMP III 54 l/h type with FPM equipment.
A pressure relief valve flanged on as per pump 1 prevents impermissibly high pressure
build-up in the system.
Flushing occurs directly via a T-piece above the 3/2-way valve and not via a manifold
(similar to metering unit 1).
The suction hose material is Tygon in the dimension 9.5/15.9; PTFE tube 8/12 is used on
the pressure side. The calibration valve, flushing system and pipe unions are executed in
PVDF.
4.3.5 Containers 8, 9
The rack is designed for metering acidic media at these locations.
The metering pumps are EMP III 54 l/h (container 8) und EMP III 25 l/h (container 9) with
FPM equipment. 3/2-way valves and manifold in PP with FPM elastomers. A Tygon tube
9.5/15.9 is used on the suction side, with PEX tube 8/12 from the metering pumps and the
calibration valves. A flowmeter, pressure relief valve and pulsation dampers are optionally
available.
