Cutting long workpieces
A table extension can be attached made of 2 sup-
porting rails (optional accessories) and a self-made
board. This avoids that the workpiece drops at the
end of the table top when the cut is advancing or ter-
minated.
5.2
Pull or inverted radial arm saw
Cross cuts
Clamp the universal guide fence as cross and mitre
fence to the left or left front edge of the table (see
paragraph 4.6) so that the workpiece can be safely
positioned against the fence extension. Set fence
extension to 90° or 0° and move it close to the cut-
ting plane. Hold the workpiece firmly against the
fence extension, hold securely and pull the saw
assembly forward.
Mitre cuts
Clamp the universal guide fence to the left or left
front edge of the table (see paragraph 4.6) and set
the desired angle with reference to the scale. Move
the fence extension close to the cutting plane. Adjust
the guide bar to ensure that the workpiece can be
safely placed on the table in front of the saw blade.
Hold the workpiece firmly against the fence exten-
sion, hold securely and pull the saw assembly for-
ward.
Do not remove pieces of waste in
close vicinity to the saw blade by
hand.

Service and maintenance
Pull out the mains plug before start-
ing on any maintenance work!
6.1
Check of safety devices
The safety of the machine depends primarily on the
efficiency of the built-in safety devices. It is, there-
fore, important to check regularly the correct func-
tioning of these devices. This refers in particular to
the riving knife / splitter and the upper saw.
Besides, the following equipment must be checked
every 2 weeks:
• automatic return of the saw assembly to its rest
position when using the machine as pull or
inverted radial arm saw (see paragraph 3.8)
• automatic lock-in of the saw assembly in the rest
position
• automatic lock-in of the saw assembly in the cor-
rect position in the middle of the table when using
the machine as table saw (see paragraph 3.9)
• mains cable to identify damages.
