PREFACE TO THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
These Operating Instructions should help to get acquainted with this machine and to be able to use it to full
advantage within the limits of its intended purpose.
It contains important indications to operate the machine properly and efficiently. Paying attention to these instruc-
tions will help to prevent risks, to reduce cost of repairs and down times, and to increase its reliability and service
life. It was drawn up with due consideration of all demands set out in Appendix I of Directive 98/37/EU (Machin-
ery Directive) and the European Standards EN 292.
These Operating Instructions must always be available where the machine is used. It should be brought to atten-
tion to all persons operating or handling the machine, in particular those who
- set up and operate the machine or do troubleshooting under normal working conditions, feed in or remove
stock to be cut and dispose of waste
- service the machine (machine care, maintenance, service, repair work)
- move the machine around (to the workplace to be set up, connected to the mains and operated).
In addition to the recommendations concerning safety at work contained in these Operating Instructions the
binding regulations of industrial safety must be taken into consideraton which are valid in the country concerned.
The right is reserved to adapt the machine to technical progress even if the modifications made will not be
reflected immediately in these Operating Instructions. This does not apply with regard to modifications of the
safety equipment.
You will find the following warnings and symbols in these operating instructions:
This symbol indicates where you will find notes for your safety. If disregarded, this may result in
very serious injuries.
This symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation. If it is disregarded, the product or objects
in its vicinity may be damaged.
This symbol indicates tips for the user and other useful information.
