TROUBLESHOOTING
Electric
Complaint
Some electric components are
without function, for instance
indicator lamps, horn, starter
Rear indicator wire blown. Might
concern the fi rst series
production
Fuse blown
Failure of the complete electric
system
Indicator and rear light indicate
with interplay
Light gets darker if the turn light
is active
Head light bulbs blown all the
time. Only for vehicles without
clutch switch!
Light gets darker during high
rpm's and shines brighter by
using the turn lights. Only for
vehicles without clutch switch!
Light power too low
Starter motor without function
Speedometer without function
Rear light without function

Symptom and possible causes
Faulty connection at the round plugs
Cold soldered points at the handlebar switch
Faulty plugs at the ignition switch
Pole at the indicator wire mix up
Short- circuit at the cable
Battery to frame body without ground contact
Fuse blown or without contact
Battery is not charged, voltage below 10 V
Indicator wire with low ground
A certain voltage is normal and can not be
repaired
Battery voltage below 12 V
Diode defect or without contact
Faulty interaction between diode and regulator.
After all remedies the standard bulb is still too
weak
Starter relay defect
Batteries run down
Batteries run down (about two weeks)
Moisture gets in the speedometer
Several LED with poor soldered points
Remedy
Secure a correct contact by straighten
the plugs
Exchange the handlebar switches or
solder the contacts again
Secure a correct contact
Exchange indicator lamps
connect correctly
Search for short- circuit and repair
Repair ground contact to the frame
body
Change fuse and fi nd out the reason
Charge battery
Secure the isolation
Recharge battery. Check if the battery
will be charged by running engine
Remove the diode and connect the
contacts so that the regulator can
adjust the voltage
together for adjusting the regulator
voltage.
Disconnect the yellow/ white wire
at the head light area. Connect the
yellow/ white wire form the right
handlebar together with the black
wire (+ cable neutral light). This is
necessary for the power supply over
the ignition lock to the light.
Please use in this case the adapter
wire cord!
