5 Commissioning

5.1 Device description file

The XML file contains all information on the measuring system-specific parameters
and the operating modes of the measuring system. The XML file is integrated by the
EtherCAT network configuration tool, in order to enable correct configuration and
commissioning of the measuring system.
The XML file is called "TR-Ethercat_Linear 30M_xxx.xml".

5.2 Bus status display

The EtherCAT measuring system is equipped with three diagnostic LEDs.

Equal ON and OFF times with a frequency of 10 Hz:
ON = 50 ms, OFF = 50 ms.
Equal ON and OFF times with a frequency of 2.5 Hz:
ON = 200 ms, OFF = 200 ms.
One short flash, 200 ms ON,
followed by a long OFF phase, 1000 ms.
A sequence of two short flashes, 200 ms ON/OFF,
followed by a long OFF phase, 1000 ms.
A sequence of three short flashes, 200 ms ON/OFF,
followed by a long OFF phase, 1000 ms.
