7 Function Test
7.1 Function Test for the Device Operating in Standard Mode /Inflow
Only Mode
The function test must be performed prior to each surgical procedure.
For your own safety and that of your patient, use only original accessories.

7.1.1 Controlling Device (in "Inflow Only Mode")

1. Insert the inflow tube.
2. The inflow tube is connected with the inflow port of the trocar and filled with
fluid. The inflow valve must be closed.
3. Select the following values: Nominal pressure = 100 mm Hg, nominal flow =
1.0 l/min.
4. Start the irrigation process: Press the Start/Stop key.
5. The display shows Flow recognition.
6. The actual pressure indicator has to display 100±20 mm Hg after the roller
wheel stops.
7. Stop the pump process:

7.1.2 Controlling Device (in Standard Mode)

1. Insert the inflow and outflow tubes.
2. The inflow tube is connected with the inflow port of the trocar and filled with
fluid. The inflow valve must be closed.
3. Select a nominal pressure of 50 mm Hg.
4. Start the irrigation process: Press the Start/Stop key.
5. The actual pressure indicator has to display 50±15 mm Hg after the roller
wheel stops.
6. The status/warning field displays Standard mode.
7.1.3 Controlling the Wash Function
The "Wash" function can be started with the wash key at the front of the control
panel of the device or the wash key on the remote control. The pressure in the "Wash"
operating mode will not exceed the maximal threshold of 250 mm Hg.
1. Insert the inflow and outflow tubes.
2. The inflow tube is connected with the inflow port of the trocar and filled with
fluid. The inflow valve must be closed.
3. Select the following values: Nominal pressure = 100 mm Hg, nominal flow =
0.25 l/min
4. Start the device.
5. Connect the remote control if you wish to use it.
6. Press the 'Wash' key on the device or on the remote control.
7. The status/warning field displays Wash mode.
8. The pressure increases by the value (%) set in the user menu.
