10 Safety Functions
The electronic components continuously monitor the proper function of the
device. Device malfunctions are indicated with audible warning signals, error
messages, and/or the blocking of device functions. A table listing a summary of
possible error and warning messages is provided in chapter 16 Error and Warning
Messages, page 51.
Situation Action
Pressure measuring If one of the two pressure sensors is inoperable or if
system malfunctions a malfunction in the pressure measuring system
has been detected, the status field alternately
shows the following:
Device defective / Sensor defective
An acoustic alarm is emitted and the roller wheel
stops.
Turn the device off and back on after approx. 10
seconds have expired. If the error message is
displayed again, the device may not be used any
longer. Make sure the device can no longer be used
until a qualified service technician conducts the
appropriate tests and repairs.
Defective motor drive If the motor drive is defective, the status field
alternately shows the following:
Device defective / Motor defective.
Check if the roller wheel is stuck.
Turn the device off and back on after approx. 10
seconds have expired. If the error message is
displayed again, the device may not be used any
longer. Make sure the device can no longer be used
until a qualified service technician conducts the
appropriate tests and repairs.
Incorrect fit of If the pressure chamber is not properly snapped
pressure chamber into pump head, and the Start/Stop key is pressed,
the irrigation process does not start.
The status bar depicts Insert tube set.
Make sure the pressure chamber is properly
snapped into place.
Internal safety The device is no longer operational if an error
system message is displayed in the status/warning field.
The device interrupts the wash.
The pump's internal safety system has recognized a
malfunction. Further use is not possible.
Turn the device off and back on after approx. 10
seconds have expired. If the error message is
displayed again, the device may not be used any
longer. Make sure the device can no longer be used
until a qualified service technician conducts the
appropriate tests and repairs.
